Cabinetry & Construction is proud to be affiliated with some of the premier groups for renovations and remodeling in Richmond and nationwide. We have been recognized, included in memberships, and received remodeling awards for our superior workmanship and our distinct capabilities in historic renovations and green building practices. Read on to learn more about the groups with which we align ourselves:

GuildQuality is an independent customer satisfaction surveying company. Getting honest feedback from our clients is a critical component of implementing consistent improvements to our work and customer relationships. Our affiliation with GuildQuality ensures that we get helpful customer response to our remodeling and restoration process. We are proud to have received the GuildMaster award every year of our membership in GuildQuality. To receive this award, we must achieve a recommendation rate of 90 percent or greater.

The Certified Green Professional (CGP) designation earned by Cabinetry & Construction owner Robert Wright means that he has completed training through the National Association of Home Builders to incorporate the latest innovations in home efficiency and green building practices. CGP recognizes not only the proficiency to use these building principles, but also the ability to do so without driving up the cost of construction.

Robert Wright has also trained to become a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS), enabling him to design projects that meet better the needs of people who are or may become mobility challenged. He has trained fellow Richmond remodelers in Universal Design for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. 

The Chrysalis Awards program, begun in 1993, recognizes the nation’s best work in seventeen general categories of residential remodeling, as well as regional and national Remodeler of the Year winners. Judges are editors and writers of consumer publications such as Better Homes & Gardens, Woman's Day's Home Remodeling & Makeovers, Southern Living Magazine, and Sunset Magazine. Cabinetry & Construction has won three regional and two national Chrysalis awards.

The mission of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) is “to advance and promote the remodeling industry's professionalism, product & vital public purpose.” Robert Wright was among the founding board members of the Central Virginia NARI chapter and later served as its president.

The Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards are given each year by NARI to members who have demonstrated outstanding work through their remodeling projects. These remodeling awards represent top recognition among our peers region- and nation-wide. Cabinetry & Construction has won two regional CotY awards.

The mission of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) is to “enhance member success and excellence, promote professionalism and ethical business practices, and provide leadership and direction for the kitchen and bath industry worldwide.”

Cabinetry & Construction has won three national Best of the Best Design Awards presented by Professional Remodeler magazine, two national Master Design Awards presented by Qualified Remodeler magazine, and one Janus Award, awarded to remodel projects that win a national Chrysalis award and a national Master Design Award.

Our association with peer group organization Remodelers Advantage puts a vast array of knowledge, tips, and techniques from top remodelers around the nation at our fingertips. Our remodeling in Richmond truly benefits from this alignment.
